Youth Pilgrimage to Shrine of Blessed Sacrament and Ave Maria Grotto

Youth Pilgrimage  - Shrine of The Most Blessed Sacrament and Ave Maria Grotto
Divine Child Jesus or El Divino Niño Monument

On Thursday, June 12 a group of 12 from St Bede went on a pilgrimage to Hanceville and Cullman.  We stopped first at the Shrine of The Most Blessed Sacrament and had a tour and a brief explanation of the history of the Blessed Sacrament and Bible.  From there we went and said hi to Jesus in The Temple of the Divine Child.  The monstrance is over 7’ tall and we were able to pray with the nuns the last decade of the rosary.  At 12:30 we attended mass in the lower chapel. After mass we took pictures with the Divine Child Jesus or El Divino Niño monument, stopped at the gift shop and headed to our next destination.   We stopped at William’s BBQ for lunch and we all recharged our bodies for our next stop. We went to Cullman to visit the Ave Maria Grotto.  Brother Bruno, previously known as Ryan Bravata, was our tour guide.  He showed us the Grotto and explained all the miniatures buildings that Brother Joseph built.  After the grotto we went to take a tour of their church and the first saint he talked to us was St. BEDE THE VENERABLE. Enjoy the pictures!
